Wife says need mo' quiet... Cat or Resonator?

As it sits the exhaust consists of dual 2" pipe all the way back to a B&B tri-flow muffler, no cat.

It's not too bad honestly only a slight drone around 2k rpm, being a Vert I do agree it could use a little less noise.

The cost difference is pretty negligible.
    Magnaflow Cat is $65.00
    2x Resonators are $67.00

What is the better choice Cat, Resonator, Other?

a cat is going to be minimally quieter, as would a resonator.

    I'd add another muffler.

Very interesting, had not considered that option.

Do you happen to have any recommendations?
      Or
Should I just add another Triflo?

I thought you had a dynomax but maybe that was another thread.

isn't the tri-flow loud to begin with? actually a dynomax as a center muffler would probably be a good choice if your wife wants it to be quieter. :)

Your not crazy. ;) Originally I put dynomax, but realized my mistake.

I bought the car with the current setup. Its honestly not 'that' noisy, all things considered and actually has a great note.

From a performance and sound perspective I wonder if a single large dynomax or similar would be better than simply adding a 2nd muffler.

I would just add a cat and call it a day. It will accomplish the noise factor your looking to solve and make smog/cops no bfd (if that's even a factor in Louisville).

It's always a plus to have cleaner emissions for your environment too! ;)

Add a cat while you're in there anyway. Don't be a douche.

I added a "cherry bomb" style muffler to mine ahead of my muffler. It wasnt good enough. Now im going to replace my muffler even though its basically new. Its too loud for me. Course im running a turbo with 3" all the way so......? I have a drone. Me not happy.
