I'm way late to this thread, but I'll throw in my two cents, since I have one. It's not bad for the money. It is basically a stock system made of cheap stainless. The only fitment issue i had was that the pipes were slightly angled in towards each other. I just had to man handle it a bit to work it onto the cats and seal it up. Mine sits tight and square to the bumper, looks great, and sounds close to stock, not loud at all.

I am hoping being made of "stainless" steel its gonna last longer than the Bosal replacement muffler i had. The IE piece has been on for a few years now, still looking good.

        TL;DR I think its a good replacement for $400

have it on my IX and love it ,fitting was easy ,much lighter than stock , sounds just slightly louder than stock ,no annoying drone at freeway speeds .and highly recommend it even though its a little pricey should be the last you buy.....

Don't buy it from IE. They are a great company but that exhaust isn't their forte. It is outsourced from overseas. The same exhaust can be found on eBay for $200 shipped.

+1 For buying it on ebay. Much cheaper, exactly the same.

I've had the ebay version and it fits just fine and sounds OK, its just really quiet. the metal is actually pretty good, I've reused the pipes for several different muffler setups and they havent rusted and are easy to weld to. I purchased the catback back in 2007 and they are still holding up nicely.

I would actually like it to be rather quiet. I have a sleeper.

I had one for a couple years. Its quiet for the first year then it gets a little loud. Not obnoxious though and it creates an amazing tone once it breaks in.

That's exactly what i got to install my IE exhaust. It worked out nicely, although the hangers got a little bent during shipping and I had to bend them back into shape. My first assumption was that it didn't fit until I realized they just needed to be straightened out. I think any hangers made for a factory exhaust should work.

Be very careful when ordering the hangers, I recently removed them from the IE website because they haven't been available from the wharehouses IE and BavAuto purchase from. BavAuto may have simply not caught on to that fact yet, so to be sure they have it I'd call in the order with them.

Small history note on the exhaust, IE had them made in the first place (sending the drawings and the in-house samples to China). They started making them for us and we rejected a fair amount via quality control, those ended up on Ebay and once the guys in China saw how well they sold they started selling them directly on ebay. Happens all-to-often nowadays (same things happened when BavAuto knocked off the Treehouse lollipops). We've actually done a new/improved design that should hopefully be ready within the next couple months.
