50 miles seems a bit far to me. I did about 5 and that was more than enough..

why would you burn the exhaust valves? i can guarantee you wont be giving it stick for long anyway, had mine on the dyno testing few things out and the sound is intense and does not feel good on the body not just the ears

Id do it! i drove my 318i (M42) open header down to the exhaust shop..that was horrible. put in neutral as much as possible. I also drove my IX with only the down pipe and it wasn't as bad as an m42
