    Best aftermarket exhaust

I'm wanting to replace the stock system with an aftermarket one and am having trouble finding a complete exhaust system. eBay is lousy with headers, center pipes and mufflers but I am reluctant to go down that road. Anyone have any ideas or recommendations? Thank you in advance.

What do you want, a full aftermarket setup or just a bolt on cat back? There really arnt any options for the e30 if you want a full aftermarket exhaust unless you have it built. There are a number of company's that offer catback systems and headers/exhaust manifolds for the e30 though but usually doing anything besides a catback you end up needing to modify something to make it fit.

What I really want to do is fit some headers, eliminate the cat and have a nice free flow muffler. I want to ultimately chip the car and have read that exhaust and intake are key to having the best power gains from a chip.

Supersprint headers with eisenmann muffler now that's a bad ass set up but vary expensive. Or you could get headers from Bavauto, bmw2002 (Ireland engineering) and use a borla muffler. But it's up to you for how much you want to spend.

Stromung man. All the way. Quiet and rumbley at idle, good at cruise. Opens up well when you give it some throttle. Very good flow from what I've experienced, and made in the US to boot!

Thanks I'll check out Borla and Stromung. Not wanting to spend a ton but willing to if the performance is right.
