    mbrp resonator?

These seem like good quality and I can get one on sale right now. Does anyone have any experience with these and are they any good or sound like crap. I'm thinking of getting one 2.25 inlet and 20 inches long. I've tried to find reviews on them but nothing comes up except diesel trucks and Ford focus's. I have a magnaflow cat and muffler right now and don't want it to sound like a tin can or ricey

Are you adding it to your muffler or are you replacing your muffler with it?

I have a magnaflow cat and muffler without a resonator right now and it sounds so awful that it's embarrassing to drive. I want to add the resonator in addition to the muffler to make it quieter and sound better

Yeah, I had a "magnaflow" according to the po but it didn't say it so I think it was a knock off. Thing was bloody loud, I swapped to a borla pro xs. Still pretty loud but somewhat better. At least it's tolerable over a longer distance drive. I probably drive more than most with mostly 45 mile one way trips to school. The muffler gets to me on the freeway. The m42 is just a buzzy loud cantankerous motor. I'm thinking of adding a glass pack to mine to quiet it down more. Mine is 2.5 with no cat and has some sort of resonator under there but I figure more mufflers are more quiet right?

The only other m42 I've heard has a stromung (sp?) exhaust and it sounded nice, was quiet too.

But yeah, the mbrp sounds ok I would imagine. I have no experience with them though.

Thanks, I'm waiting for the resonator to be shipped to me then put on soon. If it's still to loud I'll try and go with a different muffler. It did sound good with the magna flow and the stock resonator and cat, but then I put on a new cat to fix an exhaust leak and now I wish I just had an exhaust leak still. To be honest I knew nothing about resonators until a week ago haha.

Just got the resonator in the mail. Seems the casing is good and not flimsy and thin but looks like the Welds are done by hand which are decent though. The thing I don't like is it has notches cut out on the inlet and outlet as if it's made to be clamped on and was not in the picture of the product. I should have it welded on here soon I'll give an update on how it sounds

Just got my exhaust done, it sounds decent and got rid of the drone, but still way to loud for my liking so I'm gonna have to get rid of my magnaflow muffler and get a better one.
