I bought and installed an Ansa on my vert - it was on there for over two years - never showed ANY signs of rust on it.

PeaveyBassist bought it off Scotty when Scotty got the vert, and he still has it.

I just received from the UPS man another ANSA from fap99 to go on my track-mobile.

They have a nice sound, are fairly priced, and I have no concern about rust - the car is rarely driven, and never in the bad weather.

What are talking about? My Open 2.5 exhaust without a muffler sounds awesome, it doesnt quite sound like a small block but definately not something weak, and there is no rasp at all. A few of my friends said "It sounds scary, especially coming up from behind you" "That sounds pretty mean, but I cant figure out how that sound is coming out of that car". Yes I plan on putting my ANSA muffler back on but the weather hasnt co-operated and the guy that has my muffler at his house has been busy. But I didnt spend $50 total, on 2 4ft sections of 2.5in steel pipe, 2- 45 degree mandrel bends, and the o2 sensor bung; and thats enough to do everything from the manifolds back. A magnaflow muffler can be had new for $70.

I have an ansa exhaust and I havent had any problems with rust sound is quite when your driving like your grandma is a passenger and aggressive at the same time when you lay into the loud pedal.

I would suggest you change your driving style if you want better mileage rather than look at spending money on an exhaust.

Don't get the Ansa, spend the extra money and get a decent catback.

Id pony up for the IE myself, but my buddy rocked an ANsa for 3 years daily through NE winters, and it still performed like a champ, no serious rust problems.

I have the ansa oem replacement, sound is still the same and I couldnt tell a performance gain(probably a decrease lol) but my stock muffler was rusted out. I'm looking to get a triflo. A kid here in town has one and it sounds amazing.
