he's talking about the ka24 which is indeed a 4 banger truck motor. I don't think he meant it to be taken out of context.

If this is your goal, go by a 4 cylinder car :-P

Seriously, if you plan to still drive it on the street, you may be asking for an impossibility. Too loud of an exhaust and you're likely to get the attention of a cop who can site you for 'illegal' or 'street racing' mods (or whatever silly laws they have in your region to scare the ricers). If you want the best of both worlds have two systems - one for street, the other for drift - and run them at the appropriate times.

Could just run an exhaust that will pass emissions where you are at. But put a set of cutouts on it and open them up when you go to your event.

my old 88 had supersprint headers, catless center section with dual resonators, and a tri flo muffler.

real loud but throaty and nice. sounded obnoxious and spewed fumes but i loved it!

Technically, I believe most 240sx that are drifting now days have swapped for an sr20det.(quick little bastard) As for the exhaust, find a muffler you like, listen to a note, if it seems to suit you take it to a shop and have em fab up a system. The straighter the pipe and the wider the diameter the louder it will be. I don't know that a db range should be your main concern though, I would think overall performance would be the key driving factor amongst the drifting crowd.
