    swap or turbo?

ok, i own a 1984 318i, i also have at my disposal a complete, frame rotted 1989 325i. Now, what would you guys do? Should i turbo the m10 (all i have is a dinan log manifold, turbo, intercooler, fuel injectors) or would you swap the m20 into the 318i?
I am looking for the most power , reliability and the option of future upgrades.

Depends on your goal. Is your m10 in good condition? Have you done a compression and/or leak down test?

If it's good and you'll be happy with 200whp, you can easily just turbo the m10 with low boost. That would cost less and/or take less time than doing m10 to m20 swap + turbo...

You can still make 300whp on the turbo m10 , and more than that I imagine car will be a handfull.

          my 2 cents.

well. i guess its a wipe, m20 swap.

so m20 in i guess. all around better engine i assume and i am hoping just as strong as the m10.
anyone have a link to a complete write up on a m10 to m20 swap? along with best write up on 5 speed swap also.
i have searched, not much around on this particular swap.
                        cheers guys

                              engine mounts

i think i saw somewhere that the mounts for the m10 are different then the ones for the m20, is this true and if so what needs to be done to get the m20 in there?
