Are the cops in Cali harder on the guys that have modified imports over the guys that have modified domestics?

Does the cop on the beat have a way to check a C.A.R.B. number if one presented to him or her?

I mean "counterfeiting" one of these doesn't look that hard..
We're boosting and remapping a 26-22yr old car on our laptops
I think we could figure out how to come up with a usable c.a.r.b. sticker

Not in california. That plate would have the C.A.R.B. # right on it. Assuming you were planning on putting it in the engine bay.

thats the kind of thing i was thinking about. something thats rare and wont have alot of info readily available, but also believable. that way when their isnt a number in the system for the car you could say that its because it was overlooked due to rarity.

With the lack of affordable stand alone systems back in the day, a turbo system had to be specifically tuned to each car. Kinda makes it hard to make if carb legal unless you make it basic enough to the point where it makes no power. Either that or you'd have to provide a pre adjusted afm and fpr which would be a paine.

agreed, you would think a big company would make one cause a good amount of e30 owners want to go the turbo route i think
