    Emfitty turbo question

Got a question for the turbo 24valvers, Im aiming for somewhere in the neighborhood of 300-350rwhp with ARP headstuds an mls headgasket and a holset hx35 on my m50, and was wondering what gasket thickness i should run? I want to have some useable amount of low end power because i hate turbo cars that wont move until 2000rpm's, and the amount of boost i run isnt an issue as long as i pull somewhere around those numbers. I was thinking of using the .120 gasket, does anybody have any helpful input?

    Thanks,
    Jesse

Should be able to hit those #'s no problem with a stock gasket. Just need to have your tune right.

Smaller turbo = quicker spool but will sacrifice top end power.

How much boost will these hold at stock compression? Cuz if i could make those numbers at stock comp and just run an hx30 for quicker spool it'd be great. Would 10-12psi get me there?

And the tune wont be a problem, im going to run it on MS and i have access to a dyno i can use for free and a crazy swedish mechanic that likes making things with turbos go faster than they should

Check out the e30tech forced induction stickys. Lots of info on what setups make how much power. FWIW a bone stock m20 makes 300whp+ at 14 psi.

Stock HG and headbolts good for 8-9psi.
              MLS w/arp's 15+psi.

Your tune has to be spot on.
