I drove a car with the kit and it was pretty interesting. Roll on the throttle and you get wheel spin in second gear up top. Was not expecting that at all. Although the tires may have been part of the equation.

I've seen the AMS kit, it's very nice and everything is CNC fabbed in-house already, like I said though, I wouldn't trust a chip tune as every motor is different and ITB's are already a challenge to tune. For standalone one would need to choose something common to a tuner/dyno shop near you like AEM, MoTEC, Haltech, etc. MegaSquirt is a very competitive option but as a DIY EMS most dyno guys don't tune it... Go figure. Tuning is the hard part (to me) in my experience.

Thanks Matt, fingers crossed... I think it'll sound like your turbo with a little less bass grunt from the bottom end. The turbo spools at @2200rpm with a whoosh that sounds like a rattle snake stuck under a steel boot, on the dyno at least.

I'm not the biggest fan of the S14 but I definitely am looking forward to seeing and hearing this car.

I hope you make it to Dockweiler!!

Tuning was the big hold up? Damn that really does suck.

Tuning issues was the main hold up, and Chris thought Osh would be able to burn a custom chip which didn't pan out... So he suggested going back to MegaSquirt 3 this time all new hardware, ID-1000 injectors, COP etc. etc. the "other projects" should've been in line...

Thanks! The goal is to make it to Dockweiler & Archie's... Derek says its going well. I don't expect to be able to run crazy boost until we fine tune a few maps and get the EGT & knock controller set up, but just to be able to represent will be the best Christmas present right now.

I'm shooting up there Friday 12/14 @10am, Chris has some work to do on it (fix mirrors, camber plates, & misc.) still but I'm hoping we can schedule it out... Hit me up Barry.
