Boost Gauge Interest? Suprized no one had done this?

So I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how to incorporate a
boost gauge into my gauge cluster for a more of a stock look.
I surprized no one that I know of or can find (I did Search) has done this. Plus with all the guys on R3v that seem to know so much about Elc. I just figure maybe they haven't been givin the direction or idea.. Just fyi I have no ability with elc. I wont even atempt to install a stereo.. :|

So hopefully some one will grab this Idea and run with it..
Ok for what I know the milage gauge runs off elc. not vac.
so first I figure the gauge will work with all MAP sensors as long as its pressure/output voltage relationship is known. Then get some body to make a cool gauge backing with boost and -/+ lbs..

My other thought was to find an oem style gauge like the Nissan 300ZX Turbo Boost Gauge 1990 - 1996 preferable vac/mechanical, and replace the milage gauge with it.



Ok so someone do this, and then sell it to me or tell me how in terms a 3rd grader could understand.

Ya, cutting out the milage gauge would be like doing open heart surgery.

I think that was in the context or conditioning/calibrating an input to suit the stock economy gauge.
It basically reads the injector pulses/width and tells you it 5mpg say.

So it would have need something like a map sensor (to read the pressure) then one of those little micro controllers to turn it into a PWM signal the econo gauge would read.

As opposed to hacking the cluster up and super gluing a mechanical gauge in there.

Subscribed. Just drove my 325e 2600 miles after a transmission swap. That lil guage is freaking annoying. Will be doing i head and electronic swap with a turbo in the future. An integrated turbo gauge will be sick.
