    M30..What turbo to use?????

I am doing an m30 swap this summer and the plan is to go FI down the road after the motor is in and running good. I am wondering what turbo to use. I was thinking a gt35r but i know there are many different variations and trims and such, so I dont really know what i need. I dont know much about FI right now but am reading up and trying to learn. So again, my question is, what version/trim 35r? Or what turbo/setup in general.

    Thanks!

It is a b35. I was thinking about 400-500 hp. It will be a street car so I want a setup that will spool relatively quick and hold throughout the powerband and be reliable. The motor already has all the headwork needed except it has a very agressive cam.

A 35R with a T4 housing would be a good setup for your power goal.
What type of cam do you have?

Also, whats the difference between the T3 and T4? Or is there any?

edit: Just read a little, T3 is open and T4 is divided? Also what I read stated that there are different sizes of these flanges depending on A/R?...

T4 is larger than T3. Both are available Divided

I think GT35r would be the cheapest choice but I'm not sure if it is can handle till 500 HP ..

Also the engine management you're running is uesless for that amount of HP ( it's may be good for max: 350 whp) .. butter to go megasquirt

                  good luck

Im pretty sure a 35r can handle that much power, I have a buddy running one on his '04 sti putting down 500-550hp...

Anyone else have input on whether or not the WAR chip software is useful or not?

Also would either of these turbos be good candidates?

                    or

How about the cam? Swap it out for the stock one?

For your HP goal leave the 292 in place and use a tubular manifold. If you go with a log style manifold use the stock cam, you will have to run more boost to achieve 450-500hp though.
