    .42/.48 a/r too small?

Hey guys, I've acquired a .42/.48 a/r Garrett T3 and was wondering how well it would work on an M20. I understand that it is on the smaller side, but 3 liter Mercedes turbo diesels have the same specs. Just makes me wonder how it would do on a 2.5 liter gas motor. What do you guys think?

    Thanks in advance,
    Angelo

Too small. You need about a .68 ar or so. And what wheels are on your car ? I like them.

Wheels were Rotiform BLQs. 17x8 no longer have them.

shoot for a compressor side of .50+ and a backside of. 70+ as a ruff estimate.

              or just buy a hx35 with a 12cm housing

You can't compare your m20 to a 3l diesel Mercedes motor. The turbo's on a diesel engine undersized because they're designed to have fast spooling characteristics giving more low end torque. Which is what a diesel engine is all about. Putting a turbo like that on your car will spool far to early and choke power in the top end. Go with a Holset Hx35 with a 12cm housing.

Those 3L diesels don't rev out to 7k either.
