Best bang for your buck question

alright so my e30 has been on 10psi for awhile now and i want to bump that up possibly, what would be the best way to beef up my motor? as far as the bottom end goes.

I already plan on getting arp studs and cometic hg. but for the bottom I'm not quite sure what route to take, replace rod bearings and the main bolts and get new piston rings on? or just replace everything with new (pistons, rods, bearings, bolts, so on)

I would like to be able to run somewhere in the 14-17 psi range. and im using a miller set up ( which i know is a bad idea so please save your comments about that for somewhere else.)

    thanks fellas

stock internals can handle like 22psi...

frozen solid is makeing 440whp on stock internals buddy. at 18psi

o-ringed block and arp studs with stock HG. leave everything else stock.

Yes, leave it all stock. O-rings and ARPs is the key. Hell metric blues work. Use the OEM goetze gasket.

arp connecting rod bolts for more insurance would probably be it as far as bearings and rings.

if you have solid tuning, then yes.

They are supposed to max out around 300whp. more like 265 though...

But if you raise fuel pressure during boost, you can cheat

hmm.. so if i get a w255 pump and an adjustable fpr i could cheat and not get different injectors?

edit: i just realized i have a 38mm tial wastegate and the biggest spring i can find is 1 bar so that's probably as far as i'll take it because i don't want to upgrade wastegates

i have a 38mm tial also, with a ~8psi spring. you can keep the same spring and wastegate just get a manual boost controller.

get rid of that victor reinze and get a goetze or elring headgasket.

Bearing and o-ringing is not a must but is good insurance.

Why not just sell your injectors and by some 42lbers. You'll probably save money over getting a new fuel pump and FPR. Go on ebay and buy a small yellow tial springs (3.626). That stacked with your 1 bar spring will give you 18psi.

blew my vicreinze gasket yesterday LOL

and since it blew it some how added compresion to my coolant system and blew my lower radiator hose off, spilling all of its contents while doing a 4th gear pull, going 100mph, while i had a laptop in my lap, with my friend driving.

                              thank god for flatbeds <3
