Good luck brotha , let me know if you have any questions im in the tuning stage of mine and it is a blast to drive
also tuning isnt too hard to figure out you just need some help from someone setting it up, some reading, and just tweaking after that. If you are serious about 15psi go megasquirt, talk to Blueapplesoda, otherwise its going to be scary

    Exactly.

So for $1,500 you get a $700 turbo, and $200 worth of IC supplies.
    Cool.

Should of gotten a Top mount from Good&Tight, eBay turbo, and Miller tune kit. :???:

Tuning is much more important then rods and pistons. And that is what will allow you to go 15psi. Not the other way.

If you cant tune, buy a box tune from the big retailers, ie TRM, Techinica, TT, AA, etc. And contact them before you go buying MAFs and injectors to see whats best suited for their box tunes.
definitely take this advise. really looking forward to how this whole kit turns out. good luck!

its not in yet, but it will most likely be top mounted. i wanted a secret turbo but... for the sake of buying more oil pumps. Personally i think low pressure pistons/rods/bearings will be a good investment so the engine doesn't... whats the word... explode. Its going to be nuts when its done tho

yeah, pretty decent turbo, comes with a 1 year warranty. I guess it must be good. also, i think I am going to scrap the stock m50 idea and just buy pistons and rods(ebay) so i can push 15psi.
    The turbo is a T3/T4 .63 trim.
Not sure if i need a chip but, we'll see what the tuning guys say. Tuning is like magic to me

Not a bad deal considering it comes with a garrett turbo.
What are your plans for tuning? I have the perfect chip tune for that setup. pm me if your interested.

    started a topic m50 turbo

    m50 turbo

bought this ebay turbo kit, This is an experiment to see if ebay turbo kits are actually durable and how the stock m50 responds to boost
    Here it is

    got it for around 1.5k

I went for turbonetics instead of the no name brand which was probably a load of crock,
I will be taking this time to get the 2nd gear fixed which i've read is a common problem. also make the gears longer

Please bag on this project because I know thats all rev does

so far got the engine out:
