    got some work done today

what is this thing? its connected at the front of the bumper, some kind of wind sensor?

    mocking up intercooler

    cutting metal reinforcement thing

    the engine w/ new mani

instead of tapping the oilpan for oil drainage, i just used a banjo bolt as an oil plug. 2 birds-1 grenade

this little fucker got into my car somehow. wasps...

PO was a fan of zip ties... there are about a metric shit ton of these everywhere.

ebay quality. the bolt that holds the bracket that will eventually hold the intercooler in place is too large for the bracket. how can someone mess this up?

Yeah man, those manifolds are super sick! They look so awesome in our engine bays, and give the turbo a perfect placement. You won't be disappointed.

Please post pics if you can, did you bottom or top mount? mine either hits the trans or hits the valve cover.

EXACTLY! the 'otis' manifold is an amazing product and i dont think you'll ever find someone that has been displeased with it. drop that crappy ebay stuff and do your turbo project right.

uh... why would you need to cut a 'massive hole' in the valve cover? Is your turbo the size of a basketball?

i will probably need a new manifold anyway. this piece of ebay crap doesnt fit. if i want the turbo to fit top mounted i need to grind a massive hole into the valve cover, if i want it bottom mounted, I need to grind away at the transmission.... sigh

Just sell the bottom mount and buy a top mount, so much easier.

unfortunately the manifold is too thin to be used as a top mount... in other words, the turbo hits the engine if its top mounted. o well, secret turbo

If you do all that you should buy a Good&tight top mount and use proper software
