I think your misunderstanding, metric blues do an decent job, but are not anywhere near the clamping force of studs.

Yeah we know where to purchase them. People want the actual part # for the bolt itself from ARP.

From what I heard, they are generic, cut to size, and marketed up for m20 builds.

Thats because some people think its a god idea to torque them down to 80lbs. I never go above 65lbs on metric blues. I've had good luck up to 18psi.

That one probably didnt even make it to about 50ft lbs. It just snapped off. Oh well, live and learn.

Maybe you were part of the 0.02% percent failure rate. I plan on switching to ARPs next time i pop a head gasket mainly for ease of installation. I plan on going through a lot of head gaskets in the next 6 months.
