May be cheaper ones to buy in us, i dont know.
If you dont have one you wont know if you are close to meltdown, and you will need it when deciding to get standalone ems sometime soon.. :)

You should get a wideband before you go on.

Sounds like an exhaust leak inbetween the head and the turbo or the waste gate is stuck open, or an intake leak on a charge pipe. Thats the only things that come to mind. Its a head scratcher for sure :-)

Those T3 gaskets suck. I've blown them out in a week. Would be hard to hear the leak with an open down pipe.

i tested the wastgate and its functioning properly and yes the gauge will go up to zero but wont go past zero thats under a load while im driving. If the turbo is spooling and the BOV is releasing pressure when i let off the throttle could the turbo still be blown. im running an i head on an e block could that be an issue?

Wastegate stuck open? Do you have its vacuum lines plumbed correctly? Have you got a new boost gauge? they sell them at pepboys...just grab one and return it when you are done.

The turbo is such a simple device I don't know how it could be bad...but don't rule it out

    running ebay turbo here too.

.60AR CX Racing whatever the generic chinabrand is...

    over 1 year no issues...

but I wouldn't rule out blown turbo.

certainly you would not of installed it with a grinding wheel etc

setup is a lot cleaner and simpler than I had envisioned. only thing I can think of is a dead turbo, BOV constantly leaking air, wastegate open. If your boost gauge is showing vacuum its all good its just the fact that your simply not making boost.

is the gauge getting close to zero under load?

I have eBay turbo. The guy before me used it for a year, and I almost have a year on it now. So that's about 2 years, and I have a bronzit. I know they guy you're thinking of though ^^^

    Good luck finding the problem!
