This is the reason why I haven't jumped into ripping my car apart because I'd be walking and taking the bus everywhere

    Word.

I think I have dd'ed more non-emissions-testable cars in california than when living in other states.

"special smog" is a way of life. Out of state is plating is usually the best way to get around the 2 california issues of a sports car:

#1. Front plate; find a state that does not issue front plates.
#2. No care for : Smog / catalysts / air pump OBD2 issues for swaps or newer modified cars

I hug trees also as many in northern california are pro-trees.

but usually after I drink a few beers and before/after a bike ride.

despite the snow and the fact that I can only drive my car 3 months out of the whole year, i'm glad to live in MN, no smog checks....;)

I am registering my car in Lake County which is no smog, so that is how I will get around that. I would say you will have to pay to get around smog.

I hope to be doing a small 6-8psi turbo b25
cause i want whats best for the op and i'm a treehugger :D

Auto major ftw, I get stoked when I need to work on it. But a track specific car would be rad. NEED MORE TEST SUBJECTS

Mine will be turbo'd in the next few weeks, and I'm due for smog in January, but I'm getting a P.O. box in Jamul (small town in San Diego) where they don't require smog... But getting hood popped on the street is another story.
