    New member here, e30 325 turbo

    Hello fellow e30 owners. I bought a 90 325i with turbo already installed. The car came with a Precision watercooled turbo, manifold adapter, custom downpipe and 3" exhaust, tial wastegate, greddy bov, intercooler. Everything is connected, the car starts and drives. It came with Haltech e6x standalone which has not been tuned, so the car runs a little rough. My question is should I leave the Haltech ecu and have it tuned, or should I change to something else? The motor has been rebuild by PO, however the timing belt cover is missing, so I'm looking for one. I don't really know much about this particular car, so I'm still learning. My plan is to wire all the gauges, have the car tuned, make sure it runs fine, do the regular maintenance, change all the fluids and then start working on the suspension/brakes and the body needs a little attention as well. And what's up with e30tech? I registered two days ago but still cannot post.

    Most systems are only as good as who is putting in the work behind the keyboard.
    If you have a tuner familiar with Haltech, you will be in good hands.

        Are there any Haltech tuners in the North Jersey area? How reliable are these ECUs? Would I be better off going with something different? Looks like the OP did a crappy job wiring it in, I guess I'm gonna need to redo it

                    Here's the missing timing belt cover

                    Does anyone know where I can get one (part number)
                    What's wrong with this picture?

                    Is it a wrong bellhousing? Oil pan?

                      Theres ussually a cover plate tye thing that bolts there. it doesnt do much in the way of strength. but it does stop shit slashing into the bellhousing and makes it all look better too

                        Okay, did some research, apparently there's a cover that goes on it. If anyone has one please let me know.

                          Haltech are a pretty good ecu brand we use them on all the EFI motors we build and tune. Our last motor we built and tuned was a Nissan rb30et pushing out 1025hp, that was with a Haltech platinum sport so they are pretty capable and they pack a lot of features some you'll probably never use. However I'm not sure how capable the e6x is that's an older model and I personally haven't worked on those before.
                          You car looks to have a pretty good setup on it, with a bit of TLC you could have it looking nice again. Good luck.

                              Thanks, I'll give Mike at Maximum PSI a call and see what these guys are gonna be able to do with it. Otherwise I'll just go with VEMS
