    RHB5 turbo?

    Good day folks
I have found in the internet, turbo by IHI RHB5 VJ11 turbo from ford probe and therefore I have a question: will it fit to my m20b25 ( I mean engine displacement and turbo size) if I want to run 0.4-0.5 bar ?

    Regards

how many liters is the ford probe engine?

My bet is it's way too small for an M20B25.

Well the Probe engine was 2.2 liters Inline 4(actually it's mazda's F2 engine).

        IMHO - Waaaaay toooo SMALL

They were/are small on the F2, they were a medocre upgrade used on 323GTX's (B6T, 1600cc).

You would end up with boost just off idle, and choked by 4000rpm.

Well I am planning to do the boost on stock motronic, it is possible to run up to 0.5 bar without modifying it! So therefore I need a small turbo, but in future it's possible to make twin turbo maybe:))))) for each 3 cylinders 1 IHI turbo, why not?:) but ofcourse I need to use MS maybe or VEMS in future, but now for just a testing how I can build turbo engine it's enough ... And in addition stock clutch will not handle more than 200whp:)
P.S it will give me a massive torque from the idle) why not?:D

Well, you are right, doing twin turbo is kind of a brainf*k. Therefore just to try I will install this turbo.

Any boost is better than no boost.

not when it's so small that the exhaust restriction causes a loss in power

I don't think he's saying it's way to small, it will work, however if your gonna spend the time/money to install a turbo why not put something decent in that you won't wanna pull out as soon as you get it running. You don't need to run a small turbo just because your using stock internals, you can set boost to be whatever your comfortable with using a appropriate sized turbo.

Well, you are right, I should spend more money on turbo, in fact once I want more boost, this turbo won't be useful.

Come on now let's not judge each other by the size of there turbo's you freaks
Open up the exhaust for sure first.. If u can make a single 3inch or go 2.5 duels in the down pipe using a free flowing Y pipe., ultimately do you. Shouldn't you mess with timing for .5 bar?
