It's all good bro.
Alright, today I'm gonna get the "new" injectors in, get the o2 sensor installed, and hopefully calibrate my TPS (this involves a laptop that I don't have, but I may just drag the desktop out to the shop and try it that way). Once that's done, it'll be time to mess with the tune some and get her on the road…I think. Now I know that the tune I put on her will likely be less than ideal. What I plan to do is make it conservative. I'm mainly interested in seeing if the mechanical stuff holds up to some very mild conditions. Then I'll just play it by ear from there.

No offense intended man, props for just doing it. You farther along than me with my supercharged bookshelf.

That's what I'm talking bout LJ. Aaaaaand I got a set of 33lbers at the yard today for $8. Hells yes! For anyone who wants to know, all of those late 90's supercharged 3800 gm motors have 33lbers in em. I've read that they are 36# and I've read that they are 33# so I'm going with the lower number to be safe.

^ It's just an E30 , not a space rocket.
Carry on ether, if it does go out with a bang make it a good one !

And here's the thing, that big sheet of 1/4" aluminum wasn't "proper automotive equipment" until I made it perform the duties of intake manifold. Then it was. Same goes for the PC stuff. Plus if it does go to shit, I'll just lie to you all and say it worked great, or just disappear completely, never to be heard from again like the rest (sans a few) of the SC build people.
I don't mean to be so damn defensive of my ideas. But brainchildren are children too...

Dont cheap out on injectors its worth it getting new ones to avoid tuning issues as I did with used 30lb injectors. I replaced them with new ones and tuning, drivability was instantly better.

I gotta hit pull a part first. If I strike out there, I'll just have to save for a few more weeks.

Stock clutch shreds at 250hp
Stock ecu can only handle about 250 with bigger injectors.
300-350 or so with a chip, piggyback timing retard, + fmu TCD style.
Dont forget your head studs.
After 250hp you need a new ecu/piggyback, clutch, and injectors, and a turbo/supercharger. After 250hp it will be about the same cost to you no matter if you have 250 hp or 400hp. You might have a different size turbo or supercharger, but the equipment needed will be the same.
This is why people go ahead and buy 42lb injectors instead of 24lbers. I think I was maxing 24lbers out at 10psi shredding the stock clutch.
Here is a log of 24lbers at 82% at 150 map (about 7 or 8psi at just 4700rpm)
If you already have megasquirt there is literally no reason to not run 42lbers, other than trying to save $75 bucks. The thing about running out of fuel, or having an injector stick open, is that the result is usually worse than $75$ of trouble.
That said I found a set of 32lbers for like 50 bucks on ebay and cheaped out- if it was a turbo I wouldnt bother and go straight to 42s, but with a supercharger I doubt we will get over 12psi and need more than maxed 24lbers.
The megasquirt calculator gives me 327 hp with 6 32lb injectors. That is fine by me.
EFI, Fuel Injection, Auto, automotive, car, TPI, computation, ECU, MegaSquirt, GPIO, MicroSquirt, Sequencer, stim, MegaShift, MShift, DIY, transmission, 4L60E, 4L80E, controller, shifter
245hp with 6 24lbers btw.
173 with 6 17 lbers.... which is exactly what your car came with stock, hence why mods want bigger injectors.

I remember a time where we all said, 5-6 psi just a little boost.
Its an addiction, 1 psi at a time.

I thought I was wearing you guys out a little with the pics. I'll put some tighter shots up later.

Edit: Also, no, I don't want 2.5 times factory HP, that's 420hp. 1.5-1.8 times factory HP will be juuuust fine. That's about 250-300.

The terminology is different for different engine management, but "offset" or "dead time" can vary significantly among different types of injector with the same nominal flow rate, even sets with matched flow rates.
So if he uses a different type of injector than the tune was dialed in for, the work of dialing in the dead time has to be redone.
Injector dynamics sells sets with matched flow rate AND dead time, but they're *NOT* cheap.
