    alright thanks. It definitely sounds like MS would be the best option, especially for reliability. Ill have to look into that and the installation. Is it difficult to install and tune? Also i know there are various models, which one would you recommend for this application?

        What's the best ratio diff to use in a turbo eta?

          I'd say 2.93-3.25 would work best due to the low revving motor.

            correct me if I am wrong, but they came stock with a 2.93. So would a LSD have any advantages? If so what cars did the 2.93 LSD come in, because I love my 2.93 gearing.

                an lsd would be a lot more fun. my 327i turbo had a 2.93 open and I loved the gearing but you couldnt do sweet donuts or take it to drifting events lol

                  thanks for the heads up. Thats something that will probably come in time considering the car is a daily and I will not be drifting or tracking it at all. Is there any 2.93 LSDs? if so what did they come in?

                    Cheapest and easiest setup would be to find an m21 manifold and turbo. Same size as that 740 turbo.

                      awesome thanks alot. do you know the specs off hand of that turbo? Also any recommendations as to what to run for management? Some are set on MS and others say theres other more affordable options that still work well.

                        If your mechanically inclined and patient you can build your own ms2 kit for about the same price as a Begi RRFPR and TCD chip.

                          alright thanks. What all goes into the install of this kit. I would consider myself mechanically inclined, but I definitely wouldnt consider myself patient and electronics and circuit boards and wiring is not my strong suit at all.

                              bimmerheads can get you a regrind dual pattern turbo cam. Thats what I run and it does well although Idle took a very long time to tune and idle seems to have lost quite a bit of vacuum. It really wakes the car up past 5k, My power doesnt even drop off at 7k.
