    The torque onset of the roots makes it pretty hard to launch a car decently and it can really put the car into oversteer in the corner (the rear end passes you).     that is so far wrong it is not funny, a roots blower creates boost by shiftin air from one side to the other, and as it jams more air into the manifold, pressure(and heat ) increase, they are reasonably godd low and mid range in performance, a twin screw however, draws air in from one end, and compresses it inside the housing along it's length, it is far more thermally efficient, and drives just like your motor is twice the size for the entire rev range, you get full boost anywhere in the rev range as soon as you hit WOT.

    have a look in this pic, I have a twin screw going in, it will have front mount intercooler when done (blower is only sitting there for photo, a lot of brackets etc to make first when I get time)
