    Quick question

So I'm looking at getting a head gasket and was going to go for the .140 mls but I heard of the ces cut ring headgasket and thinking about going that way. I keep hearing bad things about the mls pressurizing the coolant passages and I don't want to take of the head in like a few months. I've trying looking into it but can't find much on it. I would like to see everyone's input on this.

    Which engine?

O-ringed block + ARPs(optional) and the stock hg are usually fine ..

Most guys i've seen with m50 nv were using mls with no problems, my advice is to go with ARPs studs especially if you are going with 0.140 mls ..

Yea of course. I already ordered the arp head studs but I'm still debating on the cut ring headgasket or mls. Max boost will be 18lbs on a precision 5965 with 60lb injectors

Why not just 0-ring it. you can rent the tool for $60 and buy a stock HG.

You should be fine with that boost level using mls, just make sure to get a good tune

But I'm looking for long term. If I can stick with the stock thickness on the cut ring head gasket I will go that way. I hear a lot of the bimmer forum guys use them.

We'll decided on cut ring head gasket. Just ordered it 30 mins ago. Next up is piston rings, rod bearings and main bearings. If I'm keeping the same pistons and rods since I don't have the money for forged pistons. Will stock rings and bearings be fine? Or should I go with race bearings?

Stock are fine .. however, it depends on your power goals, tuning, etc..

I would stick with stock bearings....total seal piston rings, oem bearings and you will be fine. I have not heard of any issues with m50 or s50 rod bearings
