Ebay Turbo Kit???

I'll call them in the morning and get the details. Nothing about fuel management in there perhaps would be able to use TCD's setup. The injectors would have to go and you have to custom fab your own downpipe which 666 should be more than capable of doing. On another note the IC core isn't all that impressive. But for $ which is 4k less than TCD's stage II kit you really cant go wrong. I'll share my feedback from them 2morrow night after work.

well, before that came out i pretty much bought everything from ebay, including the turbo. Ill tell you that the manifold is good, the intercooler is ok (watch for paper in the tanks!) and pretty much all the main stuff is good. turbo spools up fine, internal wastegate works alright...btw i got a larger intercooler.
just bsure to hookup the afm in front of the turbo and run an vortech 12:1 with a 2.5 bar stock fpr from an eta along with sometihng like 19 lb injectors and it should get you at least started.
im running 12 psi with 17.5 lb injectors from an s50 with a 10:1 vortech fmu for fuel enrichment, and 2.5 bar fpr for consistent idling, and my numbers are a little lean, stays around 12.5-13 most of the time, and about 14.5 afr up in the high revs past 6k. It will be corrected soon with a 12:1 so well see. but i am in the midst of tuning all the little problems out.
this setup worked well for 7-8 psi (AFRs in the 12s all the way to redline) but of course when boost goes up fuel needs to go up so there you go.
Metric blues dont forget. cooler thermostat, bpr8es ngk plugsLast edited by blueapplesoda; 03-05-2007, 01:09 AM.

Well I spoke to this outfit today @ lunch time. The 2nd guy I spoke to told me the turbo is good up to 25 psi. Of course there's no way on God's green earth you could run that ammount of boost on stock internals. I believe for the money it's a reasonable investment. The IC is 2.5" piping and as I said before seems to be inadequate for serious boost. I would feel comfortable running 6-10 psi on that setup. Blueapplesoda if you wouldn't mind I'd like to pick your brain sometime on the M20 and forced induction.

Most of those kits are made with 304l stainless, not the best for a turbo manifold due to heat cycles. I have one of those Chinese brand turbos on my Firebird and have not had any problems with it. Blueapplesoda, you might be waiting a while for the pos ti die, my friend has over 70k miles on one pushing 16psi. It appears the turbo is a to4e,a Garrett copy that can even be rebuilt with Garrettt bearings. I have found the turbos from China are usually mis-advertised on their trims, me amoung others have measured the turbine wheels and came up with a 46 trim, not 57. Far less efficient than a 57trim (capable of about 42CFS).
If you haven't had problems with the headers, you will and I suggest bracing the turbo and/or headers to help prevent cracks. The way you can tell if it is 304 (especially 304l) is weather or not it is ferrous (magnetic).
And yes they sre demensionally the same as a Garrett t3 flange and a Garrett will bolt in place of it.
