I just picked up a cheap nissan sidemount IC and the turbo had blowing a bit of oil apparently. Anyone have any tips for cleaning the thing out? I was thinking a good soak in some hot detergent rich water followed by a good shaking the shit out of, rinse, repeat. Sound like a good method?

I would fill it with rubbing alcohol, then cap the ends with nitrile gloves/balloons and hose clamps, and shake the ever loving hell out of it. Hit it with a hair dryer on the exterior to warm up the IC so the gunk/varnish comes off easier.Comment

By that logic I guess I need to go get a 24 month lease on a new toyota or something, otherwise there might by something wrong with it or I need to source a brand new transmission and most of my suspension components because I just don't know do I?Comment
