Explain turbo maps to me...

How would you put e30 m20b25 on a compressor map? What flows, how do you calculate all that.

How do some of you run cars on stock ecu? with stock AFM? how much boost and what kind of gains?

I am a turbo nub, with Pro-Turbo manifold and a whole lot of turbo parts.



I've read through a lot of this subforum, I just want a little bit of direct answers. Thanks, guys.

i thought the stock ecu was OK for turbo, and i ran about 8-10 psi through it, dynos around 235whp/235tq, since the afm was so far away from the engine, throttle response fails.

then i found out motronic was shit after i installed and properly tuned an MS system into the e30. Throttle response, fully capable of almost everything you need to change.

Stock ECU+FPR = pile of dog shit that will get you by for a few months.

Iam running a blow through m30 afm at 7 psi , and it's working fine , havn't dynoed yet but its a good bit more than stock according to the butt dyno:)
