External Wastegate alternatives - Drop yours here!

    Hi guys,

I am looking for an external V-band wastegate (40mm) to install on my exhaust manifolds wastegate port.

Up till now I have had all mine turbo swap components for pretty good prices and am so not planning to spend ±300 euro for a Turbosmart or TiAL wastegate.

Are you guys having good experiences with other brands or replica one?

As far as ultra budget stuff goes, I've read a lot of good things about "wyntonm" wastegates, which essentially are just cheap wastegates from this ebay seller: https://www.ebay.ca/usr/wyntonmspeed
I know a lot of the sloppy mechanics guys like the stuff from VSracing also.
Not much in the way of long term data for either of them.

The ebay TiAl MVR knockoffs are pretty garbage, I saw a teardown comparison between real/fake from someone who went through a few fakes before coughing up the dough for the real thing.
Apparently one big issue is the valve guide the knockoffs use is shorter and wears out, then sticks open or closed.
I don't know if I'd trust the springs in the knockoff kits to be "as advertised" but you can always test that sort of thing before install if you want.

Thanks for your response Northern .

Unfortunetly it looks like they are only having 38mm or 44mm wastegates, no 40mm V band wastegates I am looking for.

I found the ones from Auto Dynasty on Amazon which looks pretty good: https://www.amazon.com/V-Band-Extern...06XKXN2V1?th=1

Anyone is having experience with these ones? I by the way am looking for a 4psi wastegate, since I am planning to start running only like 8 psi due to my full M52B28 stock internals.
