    oil cooler sandwitch plate, thermostat?

    Hey guys,

Does anyone know how to install an oil thermostat if I install a sandwich plate and setrab oil cooler?

I have a sandwich style thermostat on my vert. Is the sandwich plate JUST for the oil cooler? no thermostat? if that's the case look for another sandwich adapter with thermostat built in.

I would like to also get oil pressure and maybe turbo oil feed from it, but if I can't with the sandwich plate with thermostat then I will pull it from else where, but it would be preferable.

I haven't purchased it yet, still looking for options.

This is the one I'm looking at, unfortunately it seems like its the only one available locally and the salesman I spoke to wasn't the brightest!

s14 oil filter setup has a thermostat built in. I've read it's a completely no modification swap. that is, at least to 2002 blocks. Unsure for the b18.

you can get oil from the head if you want to, but I've never felt that it would be the best thing to do considering I believe it's only designed for supplying oil pressure readings, not oil delivery.

I have the same sandwich plate adapter, and right now I only have the oil coolant line looped -- I plan to run a cooler in the future, but it does get a little warm. After about 2 minutes of drifting in 2nd gear (not much airflow, high RPM) oil temps will get around 105. They're normally 90 if I've been driving in the city all day. around 80 on the highway cruising.
