It's the thing just under his fingers with what looks like an engine hoisting mount.

I couldn't find any pictures of the adjuster mounting, but it mounts to a boss in the front timing cover, once the alternator is bolted on it will be self explanatory where the adjuster bolts up to.

I think I have it figured out now. I was missing the bushings for the adjusters so nothing seemed to fit right. Bought all new ones so it's all making sense. Now...where did I place my alternator adjuster? LoL. SAe30, Lets see the '02 that is getting injected
And just so I got it right. Are these the right mounting bosses?

        EDIT!
I found where it mounts, just waiting on my alternator adjuster to come in.

            Sorry I've been slacking.
Anyway, I haven't been able to get her running any better. So I'm thinking about starting to part her out in a week or two if I don't get anywhere.

Okay, so I meant to get these a long time ago, but school, work and being far to lazy to be bothered with it got in the way. So these are the pictures I got. Now, if you would be so kind as to tell me which ones plug in where.

I know it's kind of tough to see, but #5 and 6 are on the under side on the intake manifold.

I don't know what this is called. But I was told one of those goes to the vac advance.

              Vac advance.

First one under the intake mani.

              The other one under there.

They're numbered so you can tell me #this goes to #that.

                  Fickle b****

It seems every time I get some where with this car it takes 6546842348 steps back. I jumped in it the other day and it started right up, but it didn't idle. So I figured I would just try and get some vac lines on there and just swap them around until something worked. Now the damn thing won't even fire.

If I can't get it running in the next week or two, any one of you guys are more than welcome to come pick it up if you want.

#1 on my car is capped off.

#2 goes to the intake manifold, looks like to #5 in your picture

#3 and #4 are connected as shown on your picture

#6 Should go to the fuel pressure regulator

Is #7 a slightly larger nipple than #6 that is right next to it? If so then it goes to the charcoal canister.

Well, I plugged in the vac lines like thebutterson explained. And I got it to run. Okay, I got it to idle.
But it bogs out and dies when I go near the throttle.
You guys have any ideas on what could be causing that?

Thanks for all the help so far!

So, I've been tinkering arond with the motor a bit between class and work, and it looks like somewhere along the line the chain jumped. So I'm going to get a leakdown tester and see if I have any valve leaks.

That's going to determine what I end up doing with the motor/car.

Fixing the cam timing is really easy. Take the valve cover off and see if the teeth on the cam gear look realy sharp, that could indicate wear which could be the cause of the chain skipping a link.

Okay, so long story short, school and work have been crazy lately and I picked up another project car. So this one has to go. As much as I love the little m10 it needs to find a new home.

I haven't been able to do anything with it as of late, but I really do think that it's the cam timing. Looking at the valves and rockers leads me to believe that someone took apart the top end, at the least, and put it all back together the wrong way.

All that being said, it's for sale. And if I can't find a buyer for it, I'll start parting her out.

Thanks for all the help to this point though.
