    M10 E30 guys

Anyone have engine and trans mounts lying around that you can snap a few photos of and grab measurements from? Trying to get some solid mounts made.

I have the passenger side arm and mount I can at least take a picture of. Measurements might not happen at the same time, but I'll try. Driver side, well, that's on the car so won't be taking it off for measurements as well as the trans mounts.

Hmm... I'm trying to get Silence to make a set of mounts for my car, and figured I would ask if anyone had any sitting about. I would appreciate it though.

I'll look, I think I have a couple tranny mounts sitting around. IIRC though our tranny mounts are the same as most other e30s.

Engine mounts I can't pull though.

My plan is to just fill mine with urethane for the time being. I don't see a huge benefit for a solid mount on an M10 considering the low power/torque....

That said, if he's willing to make solid ones once you get the sizes, I'll have to see if he'll do some poly ones.

He only makes solid mounts. I'm sure while we don't need solid mounts, something other than stock would be nice for us.

I've got an autocad drawing somewhere of some solid engine mounts my friend designed for the m10. Not sure if south africa and usa has the same mount arms though as realoem points to different part no's.

Having used solid mounts on other cars before, I'd rather stay with stock personally if those are the only two choices. ON an M10 car a solid mount is just a shitload of NVH with little to no performance benefit other than longevity, IMO. On a dedicated track car with more power, it's tolerable. On a street car, to me it isn't.

Odd that he only makes solid. If you have the lathe/machine tools to do solid, it shoudln't be a problem to do poly blocks on the same machines....
