    Overheating

Ok, So lately my car has been overheating. I touched the top radiator hose and it was hot and the lower hose was cold. I replaced the thermostat. I then noticed that It is leaking coolant from somewhere and it was getting on the belt and splashing everywhere. So then I changed the lower radiator hose and the "water pump to thermostat" hose along with new clamps. Now I know the hoses are not leaking for sure. But there is still a small leak somewhere close to the belt that goes to the alternator cause thats where I see most of the antifreeze. My next thought is the water pump? How do you know if its bad? Also The top hose is still hot and the lower hose is still cold. Can it also be the new Thermostat isnt even good? Any help would be great.

There's that really short hose that goes from the water pump to the metal coolant tube under the intake, it's right in that area. Check that, and bleed the coolant. Is your heater working?

Well, That is not it. I examined closer and the leak is somewhere real close to the water pump. So I just placed an order for the pump. Hopefully this is it. It was my daily driver and it has been out for 2 months.

Turned out to be the water pump. So far it is driving well on my short runs to the store. Will need to do a long run somewhere this week to see how it holds up.
