Hi guys. I got a set of Solex C40 ddh carburettors for free from a friend. They are from an Alfa Romeo 1300. What will happen if I fit these (without other jets and stuff) to my complete stock m10 1.8l engine? The 1.3 engine makes 90 hp so it think these carbs could provide enough fuel for a bigger 1.8?

They might work. They certainly look sexy.
It would be worth checking them, though, to make sure they deliver enough fuel,
especially at higher speeds/ revs.

they are still 40mm boddies, so i don't see why they wouldn't with the right jets and tuning.Comment
