My brother just picked up a replacement e30 that he will be building. Brought it home and it has the m10('84). Let me shoot through the troubleshooting I have done currently:
Replaced the crappy battery with one from a daily. The battery mounts in the front. So all the leads were removed and cleaned(terminals were also cleaned). I am getting power to the starter and I tested the power from the battery to the fuse box. Nothing in the fuse box is showing power when you test any of the fuses. Only thing showing up is the headlight 7.5amps. When you turn the headlights on you get running lights and rear taillights showing up.
If you turn the key nothing lights up, no noise or anything. I do not have experience with the m10 wiring/relay configuration. Am I missing a relay or something inside the car that is blocking power to the cluster and other components?
This is also an autotragic.
There is no power at all, turn the key and nothing changes. It is like there is no battery in the car besides running lights front and rear.
