    my 2002 is slow

    ..like really slow.

whats the best way to wake up a m10?
i want to keep it carbed so it stays period correct.
dual side draft? cam? would any of that make a significant difference?
im not looking to blow people out of the water, i want to be able to get onto the freeway without needing a mile head start.

Engine swap something you have considered?
If not I would be leaning towards a cam and turbo but that is just me.

Yep, maintenance first. (comp test, timing)

Then: most noticeable/cheapest route would be a 38/38 downdraft. (followed by a 292 cam).

Oliver, PM me. I've got crates of rebuidable ones 10 feet from me.

i have considered a m20 swap but thats just a damn money pit if i get into it, i would go turbo but would have to mod a lot more stuff than just the engine . more than i want to spend honestly

Rather than explain it out myself, Jeff did a really nice explanation to someone else earlier today .....

Fix what you got. The 2002 can still keep up with modern traffic, when it's in good,
                  original shape.
