    AFM to Miller MAF conversion???

So turns out the reason my 85 318i wouldn't start is cause the AFM is busted. Since the cost of a new AFM is $500 and a reconditioned one is $200, would I be able to convert my AFM to a miller MAF with an m10 engine. Would it be worth it? Would it be difficult?

I can't find an e30 with an m10 motor that's being parted out or in a junk yard. Would an m20 AFM work properly on an m10?

Does Miller even make the kit for a M10 E30?

No the M20 AFM's will not work. I'm sure if you post a WTB ad here in the classifieds somebody would be willing to ship to Aus.

The m10 DME is not tunable and I'm not aware of any aftermarket "plug and play" solutions. You can ditch the whole setup and go to something like microsquirt, megasquirt, etc. but being in Australia you may want to do something like microtek or one of the other Australian systems. There was a guy on here who used the existing sensor in the distributor for his megasquirt conversion. That will save you the biggest pain in the ass which is getting a trigger wheel and sensor for the crank.

A 32/36 webber conversion would be a good option too if you're stuck.

sounds pretty interesting, i read a thread where this guy swore that swapping to a MAF gave him 205 power increase. i call bullshit. Do you have the links to any of those threads?
