    m10 engine mounts

Besides IE mounts what other mounts that are stiffer than oem, but not solid metal mounts fit ?

I found out AKG does not sell mounts for m10s after I called to order.

Big six e34/e28/e32 mounts or e30m3 ones....

EDIT: ... are not just plug and play, might involve some shimming, since m10 mount upper stud is eccentric, while all big six mounts are not.

Check gustave's , s14 mounts should be a direct replacement for m10 mounts.

Jean - what did you decide to do? I'm looking for a better than stock alternative for MM's but I do not want to run solid/delrin mounts. I like the AKG e30m20 mounts - but only one side can be used for the m10. honestly I'm thinking about creating a shim for the passenger side mount and just running the e30m20 AKG modified mounts - but that will be a ghetto last resort type thing...

My application is actually for an e21 but the mounts are the same.

I went with off the shelf IE m10 engine mounts, they fit fine but you'll notice lots more vibration in the low rpm /idle.

That offset one is the problem... I'm going to use my e30 AKG mount for the straight through one and look for a different alternative for the offset one - Perhaps even re-drill the subframe or motor bracket. I really do not like the idea of using urethane that does not through bolt.

M20 mounts were bad... I can only imagine what the m10 mounts are like... Must be fun though!

I called AKG and they didn't have mounts for the M10, so I just went with what was available. My stock mounts were shot, one of the two oem mounts actually came apart when I removed them

I raised my idle (via throttle cable) to 1200rpm, otherwise hood resonates...
