Fleabay Headers: The Good and the Bad?

So while surfing the infamous fleabay I came across these headers that are supposed to be for a 318i so im assuming it bolts up to an m10. There not expensive at all and thought I might give it a try. I read that there is no real reason to put headers on an m10 without serious engine work or just to alter the sound of the car. Any thoughts/suggestions? Should I go for it just to try it out or is it a waste of money with these in particular?

those are for an m42. i highly doubt they will bolt up to your m10.

im not sure cause it says in the description:

I think m42 is only in a 318is which is a 89-91 model(correct me if im wrong). So I guess somewhere they messed up there description.

so 2002/320i headers will fit in early 318s without modification correct? I think I read that they should fit fine just want to clarify before I buy these, and does anyone have a product review on these on a stock m10? Thanks!

Be careful, the 84-85 318i M10 sat lower in the engine bay then the 2002/320 M10, so many of the 2002/320 M10 1 piece long tube headers hang VERY low under the 318i.

If you don't lower your 318i much you'll be fine, but if you slam it you'll be dragging header quickly! My 318i track car is running the 2002 Stahl header and that leaves only 2" ground clearance under the header. For me that isn't an issue since it's a track only car with a VERY firm suspension... YMMV
