    Ignition problems

Ok, so I'm new to this forum so I don't know how this works.

But anyways, I need help accessing my ignition problem on my 325es. When you turn the key to the "run" position, it starts ups and fires (only when the key is continued to be turn), then dies slowly. After that, you gotta keep the key in the "run" position and pump the gas until it finally starts up. It the continues to run while you hold the key in, but then slowly dies when you let go of the key.

Does anyone know what the problem might be? I'm pretty new to fixing cars and stuff so I would really appreciate the help
PS: it has a ar70 turbo and headers attached. The rest of the turbo set up isn't installed yet... I want to try to find out what is wrong with it before finishing the turbo stuff

The car dies even after you get it started by pressing the accelerator? What have you replaced and/or replaced?

So after letting the battery charge, it now turns on and runs fine as long as you keep turning the key in the start position. Once you let go of the key, it then slowly dies.

All I have replaced is the fuel pump and the spark plugs

Put the key into the run position. Then open your hood and go to the diagnostic port. Jump pins 11 and 14. See if the car will start and stay running. Was this car an auto before? Do you have a 13 obc? You could just need a new ignition switch.

Also what codes are showing when you perform the stomp test?
