    Really loud chatter

    Hello,

I have attempted an internet search, no luck...SO here goes.

'89IX w/92k original miles, Auto. Car has been sitting in the garage for approximately 5 months with only being started and idled occasionally.

Went out to move it, started it. Starts fine like usual. However when it starts and runs at idle, an excessively loud chatter from the Throttle Body/Intake Manifold area. I can put my hand on it and can feel whatever the source is inside. If I advance the throttle it spins up faster along with the engine speed. Metallic sounding to me. This is loud.

Oil level is good, nothing obstructing the fan ect...Car has sat for months during the winter a lot the 15+ years I've owned it. Never had an issue prior.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Remove the valve cover, inspect the rockers. When was the timing belt replaced last?

How is your oil pressure? Can you get a gauge on there to check it at idle?

Timing belt was done at 62k

I'll take look at the rockers, not sure about the oil pressure.

All the noise is from the air intake side.

If you can take a quick video (with audio of course) and upload it to DropBox, YouTube, etc. Then upload it here or a link to the video here.
