Before anything, I need to mention that my 87 325i has a 86 eta motor in it. Don't ask why, the PO decided that's the motor he wanted. I guess the cool thing is that all the electronics and the wiring/ecu is for the i motor but the eta still runs fabulous with it.
Now I'm growing a bit sick of the 4500rpm limit that I constantly have to be aware of since my ecu is for the i motor that supposed to rev 6000+
My question is, if I sourced a 87 325i head and all the accessories on it, could I just swap it with the eta head and keep the eta block that i have on now? I mean, the car is made for a i motor. And I have all the i electronics in the car now running the eta motor. Would this work? Please enlighten this noob.
