Where do these electric connectors go?

Hi, does anyone know where these 2 connectors near the fuse box hook up and what they are for?

Car is an '89 325is. I am seeing an ambient temperature on the OBC. Could this be for the optional headlamp wiper / washer? (Mine doesn't have them)

Based on the matching wire colors, I'm pretty sure this pic shows how this connector looked like originally. The plastic has probably crumbled.

Probably hood alarm switch, afaik the alarm was a rarely ordered dealer option, but most(all?) E30s have this connector tucked somewhere around the fusebox.

OK, that matches what this other thread I found was suggesting: a rare dealer installed Alpine option that apparently wasn't very reliable. Agreed that most here should have the same plug tucked away under the fusebox so perhaps somebody else could check and confirm. Thanks!
