M20B27 Oil Return Tube

First post here but this site has been really useful since I bought my first E30 a month ago (‘85 325e) I’ve been ordering a bunch of parts and I’ve pulled the intake to have the injectors cleaned and tested as well as replace some old hoses.

I’m curious why the realoem diagram for the oil return tube only shows an O-ring at the bottom of the tube? There is supposed to be an O-ring at the top, intake side as well isn’t there?

it says QTY 2 so thats the key bit of info indicating one at the top to.

i have had better luck with no washer at the top though (with non OE manifold). Try at your own risk
