Bought NOS Bosch Idle Control Valve. Any concern with damage?

This OEM Bosch (L shaped) ICV has been NLA since 2013 or so. I located a NOS and purchased it.

    Two questions

    1) Is there any concerns with this small damage on the lip that it was possibly dropped and could be some internal damage inside? Close up Photo attached from the sale post.

    2) I know on old used ICV it is often mentioned to spray carb cleaner inside, I assume this is to clear out dirt and gunk. Is it necessary to spray carb cleaner in an NOS or no?

Nah, it will be fine. If it was in its original packaging you shouldn't need to clean it either.

looks like a casting issue from the manufacturer. I wouldn't worry about it.
