It's driving me crazy but somewhere I swear I saw a thread saying that after 87 the pistons were slightly different for 325i's. Can somebody clarify? I've searched til the words on the screen stopped making sense. :weak:

nevermind, finally found it. http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...hlight=pistonsJah bless! :pimp: -
If I take my 1987 325is, using the original 885 head, m54 89.6mm crank and rods, what pistons are possible? Which pistons would be recommended for a naturally aspirated high compression ratio build? Oh, and just for kicks what would the compression ratio be on a normal eta (flat piston, not domed like the super eta) with the 885 head?

If you know all the specs plug it into here.

Thank you! Still unsure on which piston would be optimal though, gonna have to keep plugging away I guess.Jah bless! :pimp:Comment

If you are wanting a high compression then you would really want a dome piston.1989 325i - sold

Understood. The early euro eta pistons have a slight step, the i's and seta pistons are domed so I'm trying to figure things out as to which is optimal for my plans.Jah bless! :pimp:Comment
