I'm pretty sure the carbon fiber is heat shielding enough.

I made one, then I deleted it:)
I'll make a new one, my camera is retarded and doesn't record sound well, and my brothers camera records sound really good but not picture:) I'll get one eventually, but my car passed smog today which is good:)

yes it is completely enclosed, and If you stick your hand in front of it while revving it will suck your hand up;) its really surprising how much suction it produces. adding a separate shield would be like adding a shield around the stock air box its not really needed, and will complicate the installation.

            19lb are out of Fords: late 80s-mid 90s 3.8 v6, 5.0 v8, or 4.6 v8

You can get them for <$5 each on ebay all day long, then send them to this guy and for another ~$7 each he'll rebuild and flowbench them to better-than-new condition:

So is anyone going to post a video? A simple shot of it idling and perhaps an acceleration video should do it. It doesn't have to be directed by Ron Howard, 30 seconds tops. I've read up on it and have seen a few testimonials but i'd like a bit of pudding.

I think I'm lazy, but heres the deal, I'm going to go ship in a few minutes, I'll take my brother and have him bring his camera and I'll do some acceleration, and maybe some revving. just be warned that its over 100degrees so I'm not going to have any good 0-60's and my car has a rattle from idle to 2k, and I have an exhaust leak at the head.(ticking noise)
