    Miss/Hesitation at WOT

My car just recently started missing or hesitating only at wide open throttle and only in first gear. If I stab the throttle when the rpm's reach past 4k it misses once or twice and you can hear almost a small pop or something from the exhaust. Any ideas?

    -New cap and rotor
    -Fairly new spark plugs
    -New fuel filter
The grilles really distract you from the fact that someone took a sledgehammer to the front end.

That's going to be a tough one. Check all your grounds. Any CEL's?

^^^. I would suggest using spare parts to test. I would test the ECU, AFM with spares to see if its having issue at WOT.

Im 99% sure its the AFM. Do yourself a favor and find a known working AFM from an i motor and swap it out. If it solves the problem then there you go. It solved the problem for mine.

I have a friend with an '89 525i with an m20. I'm 99% sure the afm is the same but just to make sure it would work right?
