Different style fuel rails and wiring harness'

So I pulled an i harness off a car today and where the harness broke off for the injectors it went straight into the six injector plugs and the two sensors for the thermostat. Not the round connector style. Problem is that the intake manifold I found has a different style fuel rail.

On the manifold it is the style with the round plastic connector and another wire coming off that was cut. Looks like it was from an 88...I believe the harness I pulled was from an 87. Can someone shed some light on this noob dilemma? Should it be a problem to use the i wiring harness I have with whatever injectors I choose?

What are the blue top injectors that came with my manifold ('88 I think)? 19lbs? thanks.

Nevermind about the injectors, found out stock is 14.5 lbs/hr.

There are two different M20B25 harnesses. One used through 8/87 that does not have the C191 connector and one with C191 from 9/87 on. There are more differences in the harnesses than just C191. It is relatively easy to adapt a later harness to an early car, but much more difficult to use an early harness on a late car. Since I don't know what car you plan to use the harness on I can't say whether the early harness you have is suitable.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I have an 84 eta that I'm putting the 87 i wiring harness on. I guess the question is to use the old eta fuel rail or fab up the new rail.

Is the '87 injector harness the type that has the enclosed case that holds the injector plugs? (I know the one I got from an '89 is.) If so, I believe the fuel rail is different between that and the eta. The eta has the fuel inlet in the rear, and the "i" at the front. The rear inlet blocks the one piece injector harness from fitting.
